This show was absolutely excellent. Beginning with the incredibly jazzy improv jam into a sublime jack straw that hits moments as strong as the best grateful dead versions! I know this is sacrilege but it's true. Mark gets inside the layers of rhythm here in a way typically only Garcia was capable of. Bobby's vocals are on point. Then Derek Trucks comes out-which I knew was happening because they had never taken down his signature and large fender super reverb from the stage. At one point during the rousing all along the watchtower there is a great moment when mark is standing next to Derek and just smiling at what he is doing without while Derek is shredding without a pick! At this point I should mention that I was directly in front of stage on marks side for the whole show. And this venue is always one of the most intimate and best sounding that I've ever been to. The dark star is really augmented by Derek's slide and during the long intro segue buildup the three guitars start this little swell of sorts over and over until it hits a ghostly and wailing crescendo- almost like a wailing swelling wall of ethereal sound complemented by kenny on digipad effects and Jeff with eery high pitched Hammond Leslie rotary reverb. Anyway long story short- great show . I could continue with a song by song description but that's not necessary. Just couldn't believe that in 2014 still no review for such a good show. Shame on all my fellow dog heads who attended and haven't opined yet! Have fun listening, well worth a stream or better yet a download.
